MEMORIAL FUNDRAISERS
A Memorial Fundraiser is like a tree that is planted in remembrance of a life lived. Like a tree, the Memorial Fundraiser you establish at the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) will grow. Once established, the fundraiser can receive donations on an ongoing basis. In fact, many of our donors who have set up these fundraisers choose to make donations to them throughout the year.
Furthermore, when the fundraiser’s total reaches $2,500, your loved one can be recognized on the JGH’s digital Wall of Honour near the Pavilion K entrance.
HONOURARY FUNDRAISERS
Whether you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or a Bar-Mitzvah, Honourary Fundraisers are a way of making these occasions extra-special. Your Honorary Fundraiser will grow with each contribution you, your friends, and your family make, benefiting countless patients and their families with your generous and thoughtful gift for years to come. By sharing your special occasion with the hospital, you are helping so many. What a wonderful way to celebrate a milestone!

Community partner events are championed by grateful patients as well as their families and networks. They are a vital part of the JGH Foundation. Our dedicated ambassadors work tirelessly to ensure that we remain the one of the premiere hospitals in Quebec. Every door opened and dollar raised provide the much-needed funds for the departments and research they are most passionate about. There’s an event to meet every need!
We are grateful to our many supporters who take their passion for our hospital to the next level and volunteer their time to independently run third-party, community events each year—they are our heart and soul.
The funds raised through these unique events go a long way to supporting our mission of advancing healthcare and medical research for our fellow Quebecers, and can benefit a hospital program, department, or initiative. They can even be used to purchase much-needed equipment.

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to advance health care and medical research for the people of Quebec by supporting Montreal’s Jewish General Hospital (JGH), a tertiary-care, McGill University teaching hospital.
The Foundation provides essential assistance to the Hospital to enhance its extraordinary patient care, to further scientific discovery and to acquire the most recent and innovative medical equipment.
We partner with inspired members of the community to implement a wide variety of fundraising initiatives to achieve these ambitious goals.
ABOUT THE JEWISH GENERAL HOSPITAL
The Jewish General Hospital repeatedly ranked among the top hospitals in Quebec (Newsweek, 2019-2023), is an acute and specialized care, McGill University teaching hospital that has been serving a diverse patient population regardless of religion, language or ethnic background since it was founded in 1934.
The hospital is home to: one of the highest number of births in the province with a specialization in high-risk pregnancies and neonatal care; one of the busiest and most efficient Emergency Departments; the Segal Cancer Centre recognized internationally for its groundbreaking cancer treatment and research achievements; and the Lady Davis Institute, one of the largest and most influential research centres in Canada.
The JGH is the cornerstone institution of the regional health authority known as CIUSSS West-Central Montreal.
