I am back on the bike for a 6th year to raise funds for cancer research.

This time though is a little different, as some of you may know last June, Stephanie, my wife, was diagnosed with cancer. Not just any cancer, a mass lodged on her thyroid gland which is the same cancer that both my father and mother have had to fight in the past. Luckly due to her persistence it was caught early and her doctor at the Jewish Hospital was able to operate and remove promptly before it had a chance to spread. She is doing well and will be participating with me this year. My father was treated in 1997 for this cancer, my mother in 2011 and Stephanie in 2023 and I can witness and appreciate all the progress that research has made in the treatment of this cancer.
