I am a woman of many titles: doctor, scientist, teacher, wife, mother, avid-cyclist and team co-captain of Immune Force One (IFO)! It is with these titles that I invite you to support me for Le Week-end pour combattre le cancer 2024.  

Richard (co-captain) and I created IFO in 2017 to build an infrastructure that would allow us to study how to harness the power of the immune system to cure cancer. Since then, IFO raised over $500,000! With this money, we bought 2 freezers (liquid nitrogen and -80C) to store plasma and cells, got over $2.5 million in grants, supported a fitness project in lymphoma survivors, completed a study on covid vaccine efficacy in lymphoma patients and published 17 manuscripts!

This year’s funds will support a project that will track lymphoma DNA in patients’ blood.  This test would detect residual cancer that could be missed on scans and identify patients that may benefit from early immunotherapy.   It will also test if the immunotherapy built with "healthy" immune cells when patients are in remission are more effective.
